The Fourth Industrial Revolution has led to increasingly sophisticated factories that utilize digital technologies heavily reliant on the internet. As such, manufacturers need a reliable network connection that can support ultra-low latency and high-bandwidth communications for real-time production improvements. The introduction of 5G to manufacturing promises just that.
Join MxD for a 5G in manufacturing workshop on September 24th to discuss the impact of 5G in a manufacturing setting. Attendees will hear from leading voices in industry and academia, including AT&T, about how the technology can enable further advances in innovation and production, and about the opportunities and risks associated with this transformation.
The deadline to register is Friday, September 13.
Reasons to Attend
- Understand the differences between 4G and 5G and participate in discussions about how to move from 4G to 5G in your factory
- Collaborate with peers in facilitated “think tank” discussions to develop 5G in manufacturing use cases, explore MxD’s shop floor, and brainstorm the possible challenges and solutions to connecting legacy equipment to a 5G network
- Learn about how 5G can apply to Industrial IoT, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, flexible networking, and more
- Network with MxD members including manufacturers, solution providers, and universities who are engaged in developing and deploying more effective technology
Who Should Attend
The ideal workshop attendees are manufacturing professionals who are involved in and responsible for crafting and deploying digital strategy within their organization, as well as academics, solution providers, and government representatives who are interested in working collaboratively to progress digital technology across the manufacturing sector.
